Newtons 3 Laws of Motion

Here's your first real task as a class! Create a page of knowledge based around Newtons 3 Laws of Motion. As a class, you need to ALL come onto this page and upload/edit/add to or somehow contribute to creating a page full of information. You can use the topic headings I have used on other pages if you wish, but I want to see how creative you can get.

Newtons 1st Law

Newtons first law tells us that force is needed to move an object, Newtons second law answers the question of how much force is needed
example of first law- the motion of a kite when the wind changes
example of second law- a train wreck, if a train hits another train of equal force and speed, they will both go the same distance and feel the same force, but if one train is towing a cart on the back the same weight as the train, the other train will go twice the distance of the double train and will feel twice the force.

Law of "Inertia" - An object will stay in rest position or motionless unless an external force is applied. However the amount of force appllied determines the speed of motion which the object travels at. Unless acted upon by another external force bringing the object to stop.

eg: a ball pushed into a wall.

Law of "Inertia": An object at rest will remain at rest unless acted on by an unbalanced force. You have found the secret message. To win the major prize you need to upload some form of content to the biomechanics page and write the title as 'I am a winner' and your name. Good luck. An object in motion continues in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.
Example : A pencil will not move if we do not touch it, if we touch it (apply a force) it will move. :D

A object which is still will not move unless an another force acts apon the object moving it and the object will only stop if stopped by another external force or if the force is acted on by friction

Every body remains in a state of constant velocity unless acted upon by an external unbalanced force. This means that in the absence of a non-zero net force, the centre of mass of a body either remains at rest, or moves at a constant velocity. (Not copied from wikipedia.......)__

Law of "Acceleration" - (Force= mass x Acceleration)
The acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the external force acting on the object and inversely the mass of the object.
e.g :The greater the force is applied the faster and further the object travels

According to Newton, a force causes only a change in velocity (an acceleration); it does not maintain the velocity. Any mass that is gained or lost by the system will cause a change in momentum that is not the result of an external force.

Law of "Action" -Every action has and equal and opposite reaction.
So a force acts between a pair of objects, and not on a single object. So each and every force has two ends. Each of the two ends is the same except for being opposite in direction. The ends of a force are mirror images of each other.

Law of "action": for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Anytime an object applies a force to another there is always an equal reacting force on the original object.
e.g. Swimming, you are pushing the water backwards and the water is pushing you fowards.

1st law: an object at rest will stay at rest until an external force acts upon the object.
2nd Law: An object will accelerate in the direction the force hits it.
